Mogging vs server population

I run my main account on a low population server. It's just where I transferred to a couple years back ...

Why aren’t you bringing in piles of gold? You don’t have a plan, do you?

Why aren’t you bringing in piles of gold? You don’t have a plan, do you?

You've been reading blogs and making bits of gold here and there, but why aren't you bringing it in consistently? ...

Newbie Goblin starting point!

As I’ve said previously, I’ve been lurking around the gold blogs for a while, and I’ve played with making gold a bit. Now I’m going to make the start to see what I can really accomplish!  I think that I will be in the same boat as many newbie goblins, so I’m going to list what I am starting with, and continue to post updates based on what I see working, or not working! Here are the characters I have right now: 85 Undead Death Knight – Herbalism and Alchemy both at 52575 Undead Rogue – Jewelcrafting and Enchanting both […]

Those damn new Meta Recipes!

I have an alt that used to be my old main back in the day. I transferred him to my current server right after Wrath came out, but never really leveled him up any higher. A month or so ago, I dropped mining and blacksmithing from him to start leveling Enchanting and Jewelcrafting. Last week, I was capped at 450 in both because he was still only at level 72. I tried to push him up to 75 before 4.0.6 was released, but real life got in the way. Even still, I kept a watchful eye out for the new […]

Goblin Addiction

Is the Goblin identity just another of the addictive aspects of WoW? When you really look at it, we’re just trying to hoard all these little pieces of virtual gold for ourselves. We really don’t get anything tangible out of it, since in the end, we can’t cash it in to put food on the table or buy ourselves a new television. So why do we do it? What drives us? I think that the answer is pretty much the same as why we most of us started to play the game so much in the first place: Achievements. I […]

Initial trek into Goblinhood

I’ve been lurking around the popular gold blogs for a long while, and I’ve picked up and tried lots of tips here and there. I’ve bought a few gold guides and pulled one or two small gems of info out of them, but honestly, very few of these guides will ever tell you more than what you can find free by googling and reading various forums related to making gold. (I will give a kudo shout out for Marko’s 20K Leveling guide. It contained some great info that I had not run across elsewhere, especially with regard to advanced Auctioneer […]

First post

I’m a nobody in the Gold blogging world. The new kid on the block, so to speak. I’ve been following a lot of the blogs over the past few months, and have started to work my way into the gold-making world of WoW. I’ve tried a few tips here and there, and have met with a little success and a little failure. Learning from one’s mistakes is the key to life, so that’s what I’m doing. Here you will find posts that I feel are relevant to those who are like myself… new to the workings of building my gold […]
